Jurita Children's Home
Specialist Therapeutic Residential Care
At Jurita, we operate small, specialist children’s homes providing high-quality therapeutic care for young people aged 8–17 with emotional, behavioural, and mental health needs.
Registered with Ofsted and caring for up to three young people in each home, we offer safe, nurturing, and highly personalised environments where children feel valued, supported, and understood.
Our experienced teams deliver relationship-led, therapeutic care grounded in social pedagogy and emotion coaching, helping young people build resilience, regulate emotions, and develop confidence. Weekly therapy, tailored care and placement plans, strong educational support, and meaningful activities are embedded into everyday life.
Our staff are highly trained in managing complex risks, including self-harm, suicidal ideation, exploitation, and neurodivergence-related challenges. We have strong experience supporting education, EHCP processes, and working collaboratively with multi-agency professionals.
We work closely with families, local authorities, and external agencies to complete detailed assessments and deliver consistent, holistic support. Our homes can accommodate young people requiring 1:1 or 2:1 staffing, including those subject to DOLS arrangements.
We offer emergency, respite, medium-, and long-term placements, including during family crisis or placement breakdown. Our aim is to provide a safe, stable, and nurturing environment that supports young people to achieve their individual goals — whether reunification, recovery, or preparation for independence.

Our Services

Children’s Home
We provide a safe, structured, and nurturing home for Looked After Children aged 8–17. We support short-, medium-, and long-term placements, including emergency and respite care, during family crisis or placement breakdown.
Our approach is relationship-led and tailored to each young person’s needs, supporting outcomes such as stability, family reunification, and preparation for independence.

Education
We understand that many young people in care face barriers to learning due to trauma, mental health challenges, or disrupted education.
Every young person has an individual education plan, aligned with their EHCP where applicable, to ensure the right support is in place. We work in partnership with Chisona Academy to help every child re-engage with learning and reach their full potential.

We provide holistic pastoral and therapeutic support, celebrating diversity and respecting each child’s cultural, religious, and individual identity. Our dedicated team ensures every young person feels valued, supported, and never given up on.
